About the Canetoad:
A frog like creature, slightly bigger and darker, but body structure the same. Was introduced into Australia from Hawaii in 1935 to eliminate the cane beetle, which was harmful to our cane sugar plants. Cane toad posses two glands behind the eyes that contain a milky poison, which is spat at enemies or when alarmed with danger up to one metre away. Has become a threat to native frogs and an ecological threat. A program is now is now in place to eradicate the species altogether, making this item a major collectors item!

These hats are extensively hand crafted in AUSTRALIA with Australian Canetoad. It takes nearly 20 Cane-toad skins to make this hat - that's a lot of hard labour!
How to measure your hat size:
Get a soft tape measure or a long strip of strong paper and place it around your head in the position you wear your hat. The tape should be level, in the center of your forehead and about one quarter of an inch above the top of your ears. View size chart here
